Hello everyone, well I haven't updated in a while as I have been a bit distracted following my own SatNav!
At the beginning of August I persuaded my sister to start blogging (after at least a year of trying!) as I was certain that she would enjoy it. I had discovered some of the many writing prompt sites around through reading some of my favourite blogs (hello Suz and Jennifer) and seeing that they sometimes took part - and I thought that my sister would really enjoy participating and it would give her a 'reason' to blog.
So I looked around at all of the prompts and set myself up a new blog so I could join her and guide her through her first steps in blogging. Well, it turns out we both love it!
It is so stimulating using it as a discipline to write most days and I have written things I would never have written if I hadn't joined in, and through writing more I've learned so much about what I enjoy about writing. So, at the moment most of my energy is going on that blog and having fun sharing it with my sis! :-)
My 'writing ' blog is called Panopticulated - I know, I know! what a mouthfull, and more to the point what on earth does it mean. LOL ...Since the beginning of August it has got 57 posts! Phew.
Now to introduce you to my lovely sister Deborah! she writes (not just from prompts but some hilarious funny and true! stories) at her blog The Caterpiller Uprising - what a great name! Pop along and read some of her stuff and say hello. :-)
I am also thinking of doing Nanowrimo this year! Eeeek! I read others as they prepared for it last year (hello Tamara) and never in a million years thought I would even consider giving it a go....but SatNav and all that and I think I'm in!
Lastly, if any of you nice people would like to join in, I have started a site called I Saw Sunday after I had done a few posts on The Streaming Now detailing the random things I had noticed throughout my week, then my sister joined in, then someone else did too. So it got its own site! Check it out and see if you fancy sharing in words or photos what you saw this week. :-)
Anyway, sorry for going on so long, it is really good speaking to you again and I hope all is well with you all.
- love Susannah x
